Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Naturable collects and why. It's written to be readable; it is not legal advice, and the definitive terms are those you agree to when using the service.
The short version
- The free checker runs in your browser. Your text is not uploaded.
- We collect anonymous usage analytics to improve the product.
- IP addresses are hashed, not stored in the clear.
- Pro AI rewrites send text to a server to be processed; training on your text is opt-in only.
What we collect
Your text (free tier): Not collected. Checking and rule-based fixes happen locally in your browser and never reach our servers.
Usage analytics: When you use the tool we record anonymous events — e.g. that a check ran, how many words, the resulting scores, which pattern categories were flagged, and whether a suggestion was accepted. This helps us prioritise rules and improve the product. These events are captured at our edge (Cloudflare) and may include coarse location (country/region), device/browser type, and referrer.
IP address: Cloudflare processes your IP to deliver the site and prevent abuse. We store only a hashed or truncated form for de-duplication and security — not the raw address.
Account & billing (Pro): If you subscribe, we store your email and subscription status. Payments are handled by Stripe; we do not store card numbers.
Pro rewrite text: When you use AI rewrite, the relevant text is sent to our processing service to generate the result. We use it to produce your rewrite. We only retain "before/after" pairs to improve our models if you opt in, and you can opt out at any time.
Cookies
We use minimal, privacy-friendly analytics and essential cookies for logged-in sessions. In regions that require it, we ask for consent before any non-essential cookies.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g. under GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, email privacy@naturable.app.
Data retention
Anonymous analytics are retained in aggregate. Hashed IPs are kept only as long as needed for security and de-duplication. Account data is kept while your account is active and deleted on request.
Third parties
We rely on Cloudflare (hosting, edge, analytics), Stripe (payments), and an AI model provider (Pro rewrites only). Each processes data under its own terms.
